American Association of Suicidology Morton M. Silverman Student Award The American Association of Suicidology (AAS) announces the Morton M. Silverman Student Award for a paper written by a student on a topic directly related to the field of suicidology. Anyone who is pursuing a degree in his or her field and is currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, graduate, professional, or medical student or trainee is eligible. The AAS Student Award Committee will review all submissions and announce one awardee. The awardee will receive: An engraved plaque A check for $250 Roundtrip coach airfare to the 2014 Annual Conference ($500 maximum allowance) 2 nights of free lodging at the conference hotel Complimentary conference registration The expectation is that the awardee will attend and read his or her paper at the annual conference. The paper will be considered for publication in Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior. The paper (approximately 20-25 pages, double-spaced, in APA format, with 100-150 word abstract, references, tables, and figures, etc., on separate pages) should be submitted by email attachment to SLTB's Editor-in-Chief:  Thomas Joiner Deadline for Submission: December 20, 2013 Notification to Awardee: Late February 2014 AAS gratefully acknowledges LivingWorks Education for their generous support of The Morton M.
