Hypochloremia at Left Ventricular Assist Device Implantation is Associated with Decreased One Year Survival
Serum chloride has been independently and inversely associated with mortality in acute decompensated heart failure. The impact of serum chloride on other subsets of the heart failure population is unclear. We sought to investigate the effects of hypochloremia in patients undergoing left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation.
