Re: Brain SPECT and perfusion MRI: do they provide complementary information about the tumour lesion and its grading?

Sir —An interesting article published recently in the Journal investigated a cohort of 36 newly diagnosed cerebral gliomas, both high-grade (HGG; n=22) and low-grade (LGG; n=14), according to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification, by means of advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Daboudi and colleagues assessed the diagnostic accuracy and the complementary role of these two imaging methods in discriminating LGG from HGG lesions.
