COVID-19 Long Term Implications on Job Market and Specialty Competitiveness

I was just talking with my girlfriend about this and I'm curious what you all might think. It's pretty clear there will be some long term Implications from this pandemic, particularly on the financial side of things. Do you think this will be impacting the future graduates in job availability and residency competitiveness? I thought rads got hit hard during the recession of 2008 because old docs prolonged retirement.
