Abstract
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently recommended that people who inject drugs, men who have sex with men (MSM), and heterosexuals at increased risk, should be screened for HIV at least once annually and sexually active MSM from testing every 3-6 months. 1 However, national surveys show that up to 70 percent of these high-risk individuals have not re-tested for HIV in the past year.2-4 Developing methods to increase engagement for routine testing for them remains a top priority in the national HIV preventive strategy.
