ConclusionsOur data suggest that a novel CTP-quantitative approach may detect during MA a moderate hypoperfusion pattern in the cerebral regions compatible with aura symptoms. The use of this novel tool could support differential diagnosis between MA and acute stroke.

Abstract Peripheral artery disease is a common disorder and a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Therapy is directed at reducing the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events and at ameliorating symptoms. Conclusion: Compared to pCT, DECT within 36 h after IV thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke, changes the radiological diagnosis of post-treatment ICH to “CS only” in a small proportion of patients. Studies are warranted of whether the altered radiological reports have an impact on patient management, for example initiation timing of antithrombotic secondary prevention.

Conclusions: BOLD delay maps derived from resting-state fMRI scans lasting 272 and 204 s provide sufficient diagnostic quality and adequate assessment of perfusion lesion volumes. Such shortened scans may be helpful in situations where quick clinical decisions need to be made.

The central concept of mismatch between perfusion and diffusion targets identified by magnetic resonance imaging offers an approximation of the tissue at risk of infarction if reperfusion is not achieved. This measure is becoming increasingly relevant in determining eligibility for and prognosis following thrombolytic and endovascular treatments, particularly at extended time windows.
