Health-related quality of life after sleeve gastrectomy equal to Roux-en-Y gastric bypass patients?
ConclusionHRQoL significantly improved after SG. In the included populations, weight loss was comparable and the extent to which HRQoL improved did not differ between SG and RYGB, when measured with the RAND-36 or IWQOL-lite. This might be partly caused by the fact that these questionnaires do not assess specific bariatric HRQoL and/or complaints.
