Neurofibromatosis gene provides new insight into breast cancer resistance to hormone therapy
(Baylor College of Medicine) Neurofibromin (NF1), a protein involved in cancer growth, helps estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer develop resistance to hormone therapy by two independent mechanisms, not one as previously thought.
