Conclusions: In this study, the SUV of 99mTc-MDP was successfully determined using SPECT/CT. This research provides an approach that could potentially aid in the clinical quantification of radionuclide uptake in normal vertebrae for the management of breast cancer patients. CONCLUSIONS: The findings obtained by means of the 123I-DaTScan brain SPECT may give rise to new concerns on pathophysiological aspects of the SSADH deficiency disorder that has never been investigated before, such as the nigrostriatal dopaminergic system functionality, encouraging further investigation. Horm Metab Res 2020; 52: 158-167 DOI: 10.1055/a-1111-8927The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical impact of pre-ablation rhTSH-stimulated fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18 FDG) PET/CT in addition to post-therapeutic whole body radioiodine scanning in patients with intermediate to high risk differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC). This was a retrospective single center study including 73 patients with thyroid cancer (44 females, mean age 43.2±16.2 years, 62% papillary, 31% follicular, 7% poorly differentiated). All patients underwent ablative radioiodine treatment ...

Abstract Today, Versatile Emission Computed Tomography (VECTor) technology using dedicated high-energy collimation enables simultaneous PET and SPECT down to 0.6 mm and 0.4 mm resolution in mice, respectively. We recently showed that for optimal resolution and quantitative accuracy of PET images the long tails of the 511 keV Point Spread Functions (PSFs) need to be fully modelled during image reconstruction. This, however, leads to very time consuming reconstructions and thus significant acceleration in reconstruction speed is highly desirable. To this end we propose and validate a combined dual-matrix dual-voxel ...

GPAID was designed to treat high ‐risk neuroblastoma, including relapsed or refractory disease. GPAID targets neuroblastoma cells in the same way as MIBG. It also cotargets DNA of proliferating cells, an attribute especially advantageous in the treatment ofMYCN‐amplified tumors. Neuroblastoma, the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, accounts for nearly 8% of childhood cancers in the United States. It is a disease with pronounced clinical and biological heterogeneities. The amplification ofMYCN, whose key tumorigenic functions include the promotion of proliferation, facilitation of the cell's entry into th...

ConclusionsMDCT and nuclear molecular imaging are important to characterize lung TCs. The majority of TCs appear as a well-defined nodule generally not associated with extra-thorax signs. We found a significant correlation between some MDCT aspects, nuclear medicine features and Ki-67 index. The association of MDCT and nuclear medicine imaging may be useful in predicting proliferative activity and prognosis of lung TCs.
