31: Randomized controlled trial of ultrasound-guided intrauterine device insertion

Malpositioned intrauterine devices (IUDs) are identified in 20% of women undergoing pelvic ultrasound (US) for gynecologic indication and may necessitate surgical intervention for removal; this study evaluates whether US-guided IUD insertion decreases malposition and discontinuation rates compared to the traditional blind method of insertion.
