When Patients Ask to Record Radiologic Procedures

A radiology resident was performing a sonographically guided breast biopsy. Midway through the procedure, she realized that the patient had extended her arm, and that in her hand she held her cell phone. She explained that she was live-streaming the procedure to several of her relatives. The resident paused for a moment. Should she ask the patient to stop streaming the procedure? Or should she proceed, as if nothing unusual was happening?
