Publication date: Available online 20 February 2020Source: Journal of Alloys and CompoundsAuthor(s): Jiyu Hua, Xiansong Liu, Xucai Kan, Shuangjiu Feng, Chaocheng Liu, Yujie Yang, Qingrong LvAbstractCo-substituted NiZnTi spinel ferrite nanopowders Ni0.6-xZn0.4CoxTi0.1Fe1.9O4 (0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.25) were prepared by the solid-state reaction method. The effects of Co-replaced NiZnTi ferrite powders on the structural and magnetic properties have been studied. The average crystal size and lattice parameters increase with increasing of Co replacements as shown in X-ray diffraction patterns. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurements were used to depict structural, physical and magnetic properties. The saturation magnetization (Ms) firstly improves with Co concentration x ≤ 0.20 and then decreases for x > 0.20, and the coercivity (Hc) exhibits the same behavior along with the various substituted content. Meanwhile, the real permeability μ' is obviously improved with the increase of Co substitution, which reaches the maximum value when x = 0.05.
