ER patients may care less about a doctor's race and gender than previously thought
(Michigan Medicine - University of Michigan) When a patient goes to an ER today, they have a higher chance than before of seeing a doctor who's a woman or a person of color. And they're also more likely to get a survey after they go home, asking how satisfied they were with their care. A new study may help allay worries about the potential impact of underlying patient bias on those ratings.
