Improving our understanding of rare neonatal diseases: Neonatal arteriovenous brain malformations with cardiac failure
In the past decade, multidisciplinary centers for fetal medicine have multiplied; these include not only maternal fetal medicine specialists and neonatologists but also pediatric surgical and medical subspecialists. Over time, these centers may accumulate sizeable cohorts of fetal and neonatal patients with rare diseases, allowing both the development of clinical expertise and the a bility to report outcomes on larger cohorts than in the past.
