Healthcare Access, Quality, and Satisfaction Among Albanian Immigrants Using the Emergency Department in Northern Greece
AbstractBackgroundGreece constitutes a main point of entry for the EU but also a final destination for a large number of immigrants. The present research aims to illuminate the relationship of Albanian immigrants with the public health system in Greece. Cross sectional study of 167 Albanian immigrants who referred to the emergency department (ED) of a tertiary general hospital. The average age of the study population was 38.96 years (SD: ± 12.53), with 62.1% being familiar with health services. 54.9% referred to the ED for chronic problems. 41.9% were dissatisfied regarding the level of care provided; Albanian citizenship was thought to be the main reason (40%). Despite the majority of Albanian immigrants being famil iar with health services in Northern Greece, there seems to be a misuse of the emergency department for chronic problems. A good proportion of immigrants believe their foreign citizenship prevents them from better healthcare.
CONCLUSION: The design results revealed that an optimum exposure of 1:2 of isopropanol: formaldehyde vapours for sixty minutes resulted in desired release of second pulse of dose after a predetermined lag time of 5 hours as desired. '3Cap' system was successful in achieving floating and pulsed release of hypertensive drug opening a 'new lease of life' to the existing drug molecule. As of April 21, 2020, more than 2.5 million cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, have been reported in 210 countries and territories, with the death toll at 171,810. Both chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have gained considerable media attention as possible therapies, resulting in a significant surge in demand. In overdose, both medications can cause severe, potentially life-threatening effects. Here, we present a brief overview of the pharmacology of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, manifestations of toxicity, and treatment considerations.

We present a bulk motion detection and a linear time invariant (LTI) model-based motion correction approach for DCE-MRI alignment that leverages the temporal dynamics of the DCE data at each voxel. We evaluate our approach on 10 newborn patients that underwent DCE imaging without sedation. For each patient, we reconstructed the sequence of DCE images, detected and removed the volumes corrupted by motion using a self navigation approach, aligned the sequence using our approach and fitted the TK model to compute GFR. The results show that our approach correctly aligned all volumes and improved the TK model fit and, on averag...

This pathological process can eventually affect the heart during his course leading to fibrosis associated with systolic dysfunction, conduction disturbance, and even sudden cardiac death. Due to this prognostic impact, diagnosis is crucial to optimize clinical management. The low sensitivity of endomyocardial biopsy and its invasive nature prevents i...
