Conclusion: Unique design of the Parker Flex-tip TT resulted in increase in success rate, first attempt success rate and ease of intubation in group B in present study.

Inducing anesthesia and securing the airway without disrupting the patient's hemodynamic state are challenging in pediatric patients with a functional single ventricle (FSV). Here, the authors report effective use of a high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) as a tool in providing oxygen supplementation for airway management in pediatric FSV patients with a history of a difficult airway. A female patient, aged 5 years 7 months, was admitted for extracardiac conduit Fontan procedure. The patient had a history of multiple failed attempts at endotracheal intubation and was diagnosed with retrognathia and severe oral trismus of less than 1 finger width.

CONCLUSION: Sedoanalgesia application during the surgical intervention of patients with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) requiring early diagnosis and emergency treatment will minimize intraoperative and postoperative complications. We report preliminary experience with the efficacy of an enclosure with augmented airflow to decrease the risk of exposure to aerosolized pathogens during airway management including endotracheal intubation. Conclusion: Previous knowledge and experience in airway management are required when performing conventional endotracheal intubation; moreover, its success rate is low. Conclusions: This study provides an overview of the intubation practices in a single-center ED. Non-ED physicians perform the majority of intubations, with a variety of induction and paralyzing agents being used.
