Conclusion: Our study indicated that distinctive patterns of FC in each subregion of insula suggest that the insular subareas participate in the NP processing through different FC following ISCI. It has been proposed that complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a post-traumatic autoimmune disease. Previously, we observed that B cells are required for the full expression of CRPS-like changes in a mouse tibia fracture model and that serum immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies from fracture mice have pronociceptive effects in muMT fracture mice lacking B cells. Neuropathic pain is among the most debilitating forms of chronic pain. In this study, we determined G9a's role in regulating CB1R expression in the DRG and in CB1R-mediated analgesic effects in an animal model of neuropathic pain. We show that nerve injury profoundly reduced mRNA levels of CB1Rs but increased the expression of CB2 receptors in the rat DRG.
