Serpina3 in myocardial infarction

The letter to the editor regarding our manuscript “Circulating Serpina3 levels predict the major adverse cardiac events in patients with myocardial infarction” [1] raises insightful comments. We did not report molecular mechanisms of serpina3 in myocardial infarction, but the letter suggests one possible explanation. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA ), a novel class of non-coding RNA, combine with biological molecules (e.g. miRNAs, proteins) and influence key signaling pathways in different pathophysiologic process [2].
