Chemical insecticides have been frequently used, however, the development of insecticidal resistance is the current challenge, thus searching for novel ecofriendly biocontrol agents is the prospective challenge. Fungal endophytes of plants have been recognized as a repertoire for bioactive metabolites. Thus, the objective of this study was to isolate a potential endophytic fungal isolates from different medicinal plants, with an efficient insecticidal activity against S. littoralis. Fifteen plant genera were selected, and their endogenous endophytic fungi were recovered, and their insecticidal activity were resolved. Forty-five isolates were recovered from these plants, Sarocladium strictum, endophyte of Cynancum acutum, and Aspergillus nidulans, endophyte of Lantana camara, displayed the highest insecticidal activity against 2nd larval instar of S. littoralis. This study suggests that A. niger spores might not be easily inactivated by exposure to space radiation alone and that current planetary protection guidelines should be revisited, considering the high resistance of fungal spores.

Voriconazole is the drug of choice for prophylaxis and treatment of Aspergillus infection in LTx recipients. Voriconazole has a narrow therapeutic index; thus, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is required to prevent treatment failure and reduce the risk of adverse drug events (ADE). We aim to determine the frequency and type of ADE associated with voriconazole and describe voriconazole dosing and TDM in LTx recipients.
Abstract An endophytic fungus Aspergillus fumigatus isolated from Moringa oleifera has been evaluated for its various bioactivities. Aspergillus fumigatus is responsible for Invasive aspergillosis (IA). The role of other closely related species such as Aspergillus lentulus and Aspergillus viridinutans which are members of the section Fumigati (A. fumigatus complex) in the setting of pre-emptive therapy in lung transplant recipients is not well defined, and may be associated with poor clinical response.
