HRT Benefits vs Cancer Risk Research

Research into women’s perception of the link between HRT benefits vs cancer risk is currently being undertaken at Edinburgh Napier University. You may be aware that taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for menopausal symptoms carries with it some modification to the risk of developing certain types of cancer. As part of a Masters project for a Edinburgh Napier university student, the following survey is looking to assess your views on these cancer risks and benefits. This research is looking to get a picture of the women’s views of the cancer risks and benefits now that a decade has past since the WHI and Million Women study released data regarding some of these risks and benefits. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and it does not matter if you don’t a particular risk or benefit associated  with HRT, all responses will help formulate a picture of the current understanding of women who either take these drugs or do not. You need not current or previous HRT user, the exclusion criteria only restrict the survey to women over the age of 18. Your confidentiality will be protected throughout the process of completing the research project, though if you would like to have your answers removed you can contact the main researcher student directly.
