An alternative and simple synthesis of [14C]potassium cyanate

The one ‐step synthesis of [14C]potassium cyanate from [14C]urea is described with product characterization by gravimetric specific activity as well as a novel TLC system. The storage, stability, and repurification of [14C]potassium cyanate are also discussed.
