Dry eyes in patients with diabetes mellitus
The eyes are affected in Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and diabetic retinopathy is one of the most feared complications of this disease [1]. Dry eyes may also occur in these patients and it contributes to loss of quality of life [2]; they cause blurred vision, photophobia and pruritus favoring the appearance of corneal ulcers [2].
