ConclusionsHigh ‐dose nitroglycerin administered during cardiopulmonary bypass improves erythrocyte deformability through activating phosphorylation of aquaporin 1, vasodilator‐stimulated phosphoprotein and focal adhesion kinase in erythrocytes.
