Cost-effectiveness of social oocyte freezing in Germany: estimates based on a Markov model
ConclusionBased on our results, social freezing in Germany may lead to additional pregnancies among women over 40 but also to significantly higher costs, since given the current live birth success rates and pricing, social freezing does not appear to be cost-effective.
Abstract This paper is a retrospective analysis of the sole transfer of monopronucleated zygotes (1PN) embryos both in in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) to determine the value of transferring embryos formed from 1PN. In fresh cycles, 1PN cleavage-stage embryos (1PN cleavage fresh) were transferred. In frozen-thawed cycles, 1PN blastocyst-stage embryos (1PN blast frozen) were transferred. We used comparison groups: for fresh cycles, 2PN cleavage-stage embryos (2PN cleavage fresh) were transferred; and for frozen-thawed cycles, 2PN blastocyst-stage embryos (2PN blast frozen) we...
Conclusion: It is mandatory to point out that our conclusions are valid for patients with ovarian advanced endometriosis but normal ovarian functions. These results suggest three different progestins protocols are equivalent in terms of pregnancy outcomes for women with advanced endometriosis. PPOS protocol can be an alternative choice for women with severe endometriosis and normal ovarian reserve in IVF/ICSI treatment. These methods could be tested with other populations of women with endometriosis.Clinical Trial Registration:www.ClinicalTrials.gov, identifier:ChiCTR-OIN-16008529.Trial registration date: 2014-05-25.Date o...
ConclusionAMH-based stimulation has the same results of pregnancy rate and risk of OHSS and can reduce the dose of rFSH and duration of stimulation.
ConclusionsThese findings indicate that there are no significant differences in the maturation of oocytes and the embryo quality for the women with low AMH level and ideal retrieval eggs but they should undergo IVF treatment and achieve successful pregnancy as soon as possible due to the higher basal FSH, the relatively fewer number of retrieval eggs and the possibility of coming diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) or poor respond (PR) despite their younger ages.
Abstract INTRODUCTION: Antimullerian hormone (AMH) strongly correlates with ovarian reserve and response to controlled ovarian stimulation. Emerging data suggests that serum AMH level may also predict ART outcomes. However, AMH is characteristically elevated in PCOS women and it is unknown whether it may predict live birth outcomes in this population. METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort study of 184 PCOS women (Rotterdam criteria) who underwent their first fresh IVF/ICSI cycle. Women were divided into 3 groups according to the 75th (high) percentile of serum AMH concentration. Cycle stimulation p...
ConclusionOur study confirmed the essential role of PLCZ1 in fertilization and male fertility, which indicated the potential prognostic value of testing forPLCZ1 mutations in primary infertile men with sperm-derived fertilization failure.

To investigate the impact of a history of previous naturally conceived tubal ectopic pregnancy (TEP) on subsequent IVF/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) pregnancy and perinatal outcomes.
ConclusionsMutations in ciliopathy-relatedSPAG6 andRSPH3 cause severe asthenoteratospermia characterized by multiple flagellar malformations, resulting in sterility. ICSI is an optimal management with a positive pregnancy outcome.
