Delayed Dexamethasone Therapy and Neurodevelopmental Outcomes in Preterm Infants with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia
Conclusion Among the VLBWI with BPD, there was no definitely harmful effect of DDT on the neurodevelopmental outcome in the short-term. However, considering the potential harm of high cumulative doses of dexamethasone on developing brain, further studies are needed to determine the optimal protocol of DDT for the prevention of BPD.
