An unusual and severe presentation of rheumatoid arthritis in the temporomandibular joint
We present an unusually severe case of rheumatoid arthritis within the temporomandibular joints, leading to extensive erosion of the mandibular fossa resulting in intracranial gas within the middle cranial fossa. There have been no reports to our knowledge of any cases of this severity.
