Comparison of MIC Test Strip and Sensititre YeastOne with the broth microdilution reference methods CLSI and EUCAST for in vitro antifungal susceptibility testing of Cryptococcus neoformans. Antimicrob Agents Chemother. 2020 Feb 03;: Authors: Delma FZ, Al-Hatmi AMS, Buil JB, van der Lee H, Tehupeiory-Kooreman M, de Hoog GS, Meletiadis J, Verweij PE Abstract We compared MTS and SYO to EUCAST and CLSI methods for; amphotericin B, 5-fluocytosine, fluconazole, voriconazole and isavuconazole against 106 C.neoformans isolates. The overall EA ±1/±2 dilutions between EUCAST and CLSI were >72%/>94%. The EA between SYO and EUCAST/CLSI for the following drugs amphotericin B, 5-flucytosine, fluconazole, voriconazole were >89/>93%, and for MTS were >57/75% respectively. The VME rates were low for AMB and FCZ (<3%) and a bit higher for the other drugs (<8%). PMID: 32015025 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
