Differences in Management of Peanut Allergy between Allergists and Pediatricians

Peanut allergy (PA) affects 1-2% of the pediatric population, is rarely outgrown and is the leading cause of fatal food allergic reactions1-3. Data suggests that one-half of patients in need of allergy services do not have access to an allergist4. It is unclear how management of PA may differ between allergists and pediatricians.
