Drug for adults with acute hepatic porphyria (AHP). AHP is a rare metabolic disease resulting from a buildup of porphyrin molecules formed during the production of heme. AHP is characterized by acute attacks leading pain, paralysis, respiratory failure, seizures and mental changes.
