Effect of nerolidol on cyclophosphamide-induced bone marrow and hematological toxicities in Swiss albino mice
Cancer is the third leading cause of death worldwide and the second common cause of death in the developing countries [1,2]. To meet this alarming situation, many anticancer drugs have been developed and CP is one the drug that belongs to the class of alkylating agents [3]3. CP is a potent anticancer and immunosuppressant drug that shows promising therapeutic utility against hepatocarcinoma, lung carcinoma, brain tumor, acute myeloid leukemia and against autoimmune diseases [4]. CP is a prodrug with its two active metabolites, phosphoramide mustard (PM) and acrolein.
