Older Korean Immigrants' Healthcare Goals in Later Life (S780)

The population of older adults in the United States is growing in size and ethnic diversity. More than half of Korean Americans living in the U.S. are immigrants, and hold unique cultural perspectives, such as collectivism and filial piety, that originate from Korean culture. While understanding older Korean immigrants' perspectives on end of life (EOL) care is critical to providing culturally competent care, previous studies reported that because of their cultural norms, they are reluctant to discuss EOL care.
