Quality of Life of Hearing-Impaired Middle School Students: a Cross-Sectional Study in Hubei Province, China

AbstractTo assess the self-perceived quality of life of in middle school student with hearing impairment and identify the social-demographic and clinical factors those influence their quality of life in Hubei Province, China. A school-based, cross-sectional study was conducted in Hubei Province. Using stratified sampling method, 437 middle school students diagnosed with hearing impairment, aged 12-18  years, in special school setting were enrolled in the study. Conclusions: HRQOL metrics can accurately predict patient satisfaction with symptoms at 3 months, 2 years, and 4 years after surgical intervention for a lumbar disk herniation. Absolute outcome scores were somewhat more predictive than change scores.

Conclusions: Paraspinal muscles evaluated with MRI were more significantly associated with the pathology of ASD compared with appendicular skeletal muscle evaluations with dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry. The present study indicates that multifidus and erector muscles significantly influenced the maintenance of the pelvic alignment. Level of Evidence: Level III.

CONCLUSION: We established a rhesus macaque model of local cerebral ischemia by autologous thrombus placement. This model has important implications for basic and clinical research on cerebral ischemia. MRI and DSA can evaluate the models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
