Future directions for personalized computer simulations in endovascular aneurysms repair
Personalized medicine is nowadays considered as the next disruptive evolution in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which remain the leading cause of mortality in the world [1]. Over the recent years, research has focused mainly on gene or cellular therapies [2]. In parallel, major developments have been made on trans-catheter implantable devices, such as coronary and peripheral stents, aortic valves and stent-grafts, which represent an increasing part of the cardiovascular therapeutic armamentarium.
