Statin ameliorates adipose inflammation via NLRP3 suppression

Valentina et  al. [1] observed that treatment of patients with atorvastatin significantly improved inflammatory profile in epicardial adipose tissue. This finding may reveal an unexpected role of statin in adipose inflammation, whereas the underlying mechanisms remain unknown.
