142. Current Knowledge, Perceptions, and Implementations of Trauma-Informed Teaching Practices in Two Connecticut Public Schools

The purpose of this study is to assess teachers ’ knowledge and awareness about behavioral and health outcomes of toxic stress on high school students and assess their perceived benefits and barriers to implementing trauma-informed teaching practices. Aim 1: Assess baseline knowledge of teachers in regards to toxic stress and its prevalence and impact on students. Aim 2: Assess teacher knowledge on trauma-informed practices and learn their perceived or observed benefits. Aim 3: Determine the current barriers present for implementation of trauma-informed practices.
