Antibiotic self ‐medication among non‐medical practitioners in Cirebon city, Indonesia

ConclusionsPenicillins were the most purchased class of antibiotics in self ‐medication, and amoxicillin is the generic name of penicillin that was most widely used in self‐medication among non‐medical practitioners in Cirebon City, Indonesia. Health promotion and government regulation are needed to increase public awareness to prevent unprescribed antibiotic consumpt ion.
