State of the Journal 2020

Heart Rhythm Journal (HRJ) is entering its 17th year. In addition to the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society, HRJ is now also the official journal of the Pediatric& Congenital Electrophysiology Society. HRJ continues to excel on multiple fronts and is the most cited arrhythmia-focused journal (Figure 1A). The impact factor increased from 4.743 to 5.225, and the Google Scholar ranking is 10th of all cardiology journals and 1st among arrhythmia-focused journals. The average time to first decision is 10 days.
