209: Low-dose versus medium-dose aspirin for preeclampsia prevention in pregnancy: a cost-effectiveness analysis

Preeclampsia during pregnancy increases the risk of preterm birth, neonatal neurodevelopmental disability, and neonatal death. Prior studies have shown that low-dose aspirin (ASA) after the first trimester has been shown to decrease the development of preeclampsia among nulliparous women at high risk of developing preeclampsia. We sought to investigate the cost and effectiveness of low dose ASA (81mg) prophylaxis versus medium dose ASA (>100mg) prophylaxis on maternal and neonatal outcomes in women at high risk for preeclampsia.
