438: Prenatal care attendance and pregnancy outcomes among women with bipolar disorder: a retrospective cohort study
The benefit of prenatal care in reducing adverse pregnancy outcomes has long been established. Under-utilization of prenatal care is of particular relevance in patient populations that may face barriers to health care, such as in women with psychiatric illness. We sought to assess the maternal and neonatal outcomes associated with utilization of prenatal care in a cohort of California women with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
