Year in Review: A series of crises marred Mount Carmel's big year
Mount Carmel Health System entered 2019 with all expectations of a year of celebration and triumph: Following record financial performance, it was ready to open two hospitals and an ER, and kick off much-needed redevelopment in west Franklinton.
And its parent, Michigan-based Trinity Health, won state incentives to add a national customer service and billing center with 450 jobs at Easton.
Those milestones were indeed achieved, but they were marred by a series of crises that led to the resignation…
