Laparoscopic Repair of Uteroperitoneal Fistula
A 40-year-old multiparous woman presented with a 3-year history of secondary infertility after undergoing surgical management of a miscarriage. She had undergone a cesarean section 5 years previously. She described, since then, a history of light menstrual flow, subjectively incomplete menstruation, and bloating. A hysterosalpingogram (HSG) revealed a large cesarean scar defect with fistulation into the peritoneal cavity (Fig. 1), which was confirmed with magnetic resonance imaging.
