Early outcome of bariatric surgery for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in super-obese Malaysian population

Conclusion: There are significant weight loss and improvement of glycaemic control at 12 months post-laparoscopic bariatric surgery among super-obese Malaysians.

ConclusionIFG represented a higher risk and PAF than MetS for T2DM incidence in middle ‐aged Japanese. Coexistence of MetS and IFG indicated the highest risk and PAF for T2DM incidence. The current Japanese MetS screening program should be reconsidered to follow up non‐MetS individuals with IFG.
