Society of Toxicology Arnold J. Lehman Award Deadline: October 9 The Arnold J. Lehman Award is presented to recognize an individual who has made a major contribution to risk assessment and/or the regulation of chemical agents, including pharmaceuticals. The contribution may have resulted from the application of sound scientific principles to regulation and/or from research activities that have significantly influenced the regulatory process. This award consists of a plaque that is presented at the SOT Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony and a cash stipend. Criteria for award: Member of the Society Individual who has made a major contribution to risk assessment and/or the regulation of chemical agents, including pharmaceuticals Contribution may have resulted from the application of sound scientific principles to regulation Research activities that have significantly influenced the regulatory process May be employed in academia, government, or industry Items needed in the application: Letter of nomination from Full member of the Society Curriculum vitae of nominee Seconding letter from Full member of the Society Both letters should provide documentation and description of the major contributions of the nominee to risk assessment or regulation of chemical agents; CV listing is not adequate without discussion of impact and how the nominee meets the award criteria.
