Modified Natural-Cycle Cryopreserved Embryo Transfer: Is a Washout Period Needed After a Failed Fresh Cycle?

(Abstracted from Reprod Biomed Online 2019;39(3):439–445) Embryo cryopreservation and frozen embryo transfer (FET) in assisted reproductive technology currently accounts for up to one third of all children born in the United States using assisted reproductive technology. Embryo cryopreservation's increase in utilization is driven by advances in procedures associated with the technology as well as increased understanding of downstream effects associated with ovarian stimulation.
