Patient Preferences for Attributes of Primary Surgical Debulking Versus Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Treatment of Newly Diagnosed Ovarian Cancer
(Abstracted from Cancer 2019;125:4399–4406)
Retrospective analyses have found that optimal tumor debulking after a new diagnosis of ovarian cancer results in significantly greater progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) compared with those who are suboptimally debulked. Primary debulking surgery (PDS) has become a common first line of therapy in patients with ovarian cancer.
