Drop-out ratio between moderate to high-intensity physical exercise treatment by patients with, or at risk of, type 2 diabetes mellitus: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionIt seems that high-intensity protocols did not decrease drop-out ratio. Thus, lower intensity interventions may enhance patients’ participation more than intense programs. Further research is needed to explore barriers and enablers to better understand patients’ participation.
