This article will cover Phase II-III clinical efficacy and safety data as well as basic science literature pertaining to the agent's mechanism of action and pharmacodynamics. In selecting articles for inclusion in this review, a literature search using the PubMed database was carried out. Cross-referencing was carried out where applicable. We did not use any date or language restrictions in electronic searches.Expert opinion: Netarsudil and latanoprost ophthalmic solution plays a pivotal role in management of individuals with OAG and OHTN. The agent may be used as first-line therapy to provide substantial IOP-lowering or when additional lowering is indicated and prostaglandins have provided insufficient IOP lowering.
