Comment on: Revision Operation to One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass for failed Sleeve Gastrectomy: Revision of SG to OAGB

Revision of SG to OAGB1, is an important paper not because of its earthshaking conclusions, but rather because of the questions it raises in the mind of the reader. The authors have shown that in the hands of experienced surgeons converting a sleeve gastrectomy to OAGB is safe in the short term, but is that enough for us to suggest it should be considered as a revisional procedure for failed sleeves? The paper acknowledges that follow-up is too short to determine what the true incidence of long-term complications might be.
