Technical success and short-term outcomes after treatment of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis with the ClotTriever system: A preliminary experience

ConclusionsThis novel percutaneous venous thrombectomy system is safe and effective for removing large volumes of lower extremity acute thrombus in a single session, without the need for lytic therapy, intensive care unit admission, or repeat intervention. Further studies are warranted to determine mid-term and long-term outcomes.

In this study, we found that senescent chondrocytes isolated from OA patients secrete more EVs compared with nonsenescent chondrocytes. These EVs inhibit cartilage ECM deposition by healthy chondrocytes and can induce a senescent state in nearby cells. We profiled the miR and protein content of EVs isolated from the synovial fluid of OA joints from mice with SnCs. ConclusionsThese data demonstrate that through a multi-disciplinary approach to care, perioperative complications following hip arthroplasty occurred less frequently when compared to previous data. Although protocols were in place for post-operative venous thromboembolism prophylaxis, this was the most common complication seen in our study. Conclusion: A patient presented with UGI bleeding from sinistral portal hypertension from a LGA PA compressing the SV that was treated by angiographic obliteration of the PA which relieved the SV compression and arrested the UGI bleeding. Primary therapy for this syndrome should be addressed to obliterate the PA and not the secondarily constricted SV.

Conclusion Co-existence of sarcoidosis, CD and APS is extremely rare. APS should be recognized as an accompanying disorder of sarcoidosis and antiphospholipids measured especially when there is a history of thrombosis or miscarriages. CD should not be overlooked in association to sarcoidosis, given the shared immunological and genetic background, even in the absence of a typical presentation of the disease.
