Effect of Topical Hypotensive Medications for Preventing Intraocular Pressure Increase After Cataract Surgery in Eyes With Glaucoma

Dr Özcura raised several questions regarding our article on the effect of topical hypotensive medications to prevent an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP) after cataract surgery in eyes with glaucoma.1 Our study revealed that, compared with travoprost or timolol, brinzolamide administered to eyes with glaucoma immediately after phacoemulsification more effectively decreases the short-term IOP increase. We would like to address the questions raised by Dr Özcura.
